This product is part of the Imperfect Tortoises Collection. 

During the making of these white tanks, a missing thread caused the seams to unravel in the wash.

So, we've worked with a local seamstress to correct them. The seams were taken apart and sewn back together - this time with double the reinforcement. (Yes, we essentially upcycled them before they even hit the shelves!)

The measurements and sizing of these pieces are different from products from our main collections. Please do refer to our size chart below for more accurate sizing details.

Fit

These IMPERFECT Crew Neck Tanks in White feature a boxier fit (perfect for some body types) and altered measurements for all sizes.

The length is the same as that of our regular Crew Neck Tanks in Grey and Black – versatile, with the slightest crop. Made long enough to be tucked into high-waisted bottoms or tucked out without lengthening the look of your torso.

Check out our size chart above and make sure to measure around the chest for the best fit. Tortoise friends are wearing size M in the images.

Material

100% organic cotton fabric and thread, with no additional polyester labels. Even though they've already been "upcycled", we still made sure to use cotton threads. This means that our pieces can both be easily mechanically recycled or biodegraded!

This is a medium-weight jersey that's soft enough for everyday wear with just the right amount of structure. It's thick enough such that the white colourway is not sheer, but thin enough to be comfortable in the tropics.

Make

These tops were ethically made in a family-owned factory in India. Certified by SA-8000 and GOTS, rest assured that both our planet and the people involved in this supply chain are well taken care of!

To re-work these IMPERFECT pieces, we worked with a local part-time seamstress, part-time housewife who worked in the comfort of her home studio.

Delivery

Delivery island-wide is a flat rate of S$4 for orders under S$70, and is free for all orders S$70 and above.

Recycling

All Tortoise pieces are made to be recycled, so we've designed our system to do just that.
